I lived round the corner from this bar before it was Apostles. I used to be a very rough pub called Winners, the sort of place that would have drinkers with their tops off out on the street drinking in summer, I never went near it. But it then changed ownership and it got a major revamp.
When I reopened I went over and was so surprised. It was a great new addition to Raynes Park. They have all the new beers on tap and a nice big screen for sport. The owner is a very friendly guy and makes the place so welcoming. They have a DJ playing on some evenings on the weekend and used to have a lock-in.
I would recommend this pub to people for a good night out or a catch-up over a beer. I have not eaten here yet but the menu looked okay.
This is a tiny little wine bar very close to Raynes Park station, with an equally dinky patio garden for warmer days.
The owners are very friendly, the bar staff are great too ... they are also very community-minded and a local crowd gather there regularly, even using it as a coffee-bar during the day.
A simple menu and rather nice wine list complements each other very well, with prices around average for this area so no surprises there. But if you don't fancy going into the City or some of the more popular drinking-holes, such as Putney or Kingston, the Apostles wine bar is a good bet.
