A fairly modern cinema with several screens and a few licensed screens where you can consume alcohol whilst watching a movie, provided the film is an 18 certificate.
Tickets are not cheap, and food and drink is very highly priced so try to sneak your own in ;)
Seats are comfy enough and I have never personally found the volume to be too low, picture is clear and the 3D movies are great.
There is no on site parking, but paid car parks and street parking is close by.
All in all a good cinema experience
I have never felt compelled to write a review about a multiplex cinema before, I generally find you get exactly what you expect. However here this is not the case, initially I was frustrated that there is no on site parking, there is no ticket booth (bit of an issue if you want to encourage people to buy tickets), nor are there any signs up to inform you of any prices or deals on confectionery. I asked and they do combo deals but since there were no prices I'm not sure if I came out with a cheaper deal or not.
All this is merely an inconvenience and doesn't ultimately ruin a cinema experience, what makes the experience is the film, if you can in fact hear it that is. For the 120 minutes I attempted to watch Keira Knightly pout her way through another corseted number (don't judge me), all I could hear was the dramatic music and explosions of the next door action film. Screens that aren't sound proof, bit of a big problem... must be improved!
Lovely cinema,15 screens of different films shown at any one time :) reasonably priced, you can take drinks into the cinema and popcorn as well, seats uncomfortable as I had to keep wriggling to get comfy but it is a lovely place to go and see a movie :) 10/10
Modern multiplex with great facilities. The bar is comfortable and you can have anything from popcorn to a nice cup of coffee. They don't mind if you take your own sweets which is a real money saver if you are taking the children.
The staff are friendly and helpful. They wear smart blue shirts and name badges so you know who you are talking to.
The toilet facilities are excellent, they have always been clean with plenty of toilet paper, towels and soap, when I have visited.
There is a lift to the screens that aren't on the ground floor so access is possible for the disabled.
Great cinema, with good screens, my opinion is that it is expensive and I would use it more if there were better deals for frequent users like a loyalty card idea or reasonably priced yearly pass. Last time I went none of the films advertised were being shown and the ones that were had no info about them, when asking the staff why this was or what they were about they said they did not know why or have any idea what the films were about? Not good, as I went home to watch a dvd instead!
Massive cinema with lots of screens.great choice of films.director screens, bar, food area and lots of toilets.great at weekend for kids as £2 film showings.
Great cinema! Lots of screens, fair prices and has all the best new films on offer! Would be 5 stars if it had better parking available!
A good cinema offering 8 screens. The saturday morning kids films offer good value for money but the films tend to be a little older. The seats are flip up sits which can de difficult for younger children to sit confortabley in. Orange Wednesdays get very busy but this is nationwide not just here. This cinema is ok but I tend to visit the Vue in Plymouth as it offers a better film experience.
Great Cinema, plenty of choice and clean and friendly, The down sides to this cinema is that they do not list a direct phone number and you only call an automated service which is very annoying and expensive if you use a mobile phone and if you pay by any type of card they charge 50p per transaction which is in its self a complete rip off as it never costs them 50 pence to accept the card.
We recently went to see Toy story 3 and there was two adults and one child, we paid using a card on a saturday ( prime Time) and it cost us £28 with 3 pairs of 3D glasses at £1 each so we wont be going again for a very long time as that was just far too expensive to watch a film with a family and perhaps Apollo should realise that we are in Devon and salaries are not great and perhaps they need to ask there own staff if they had to pay would they go to the pictures at £8.60 a ticket plus nibbles and a drink i am surprised they are still in business
A great cinema with comfy seating and great films to boot
8 screens, large and modern cinema, adults only screen, cheap shows for families. Gets very busy on Wednesdays when people use their 2-for-1 offers with Orange. Always up-to-date movies. Cheap children shows on Saturdays and Sundays with £2 a ticket. Situated at the seafront, easy to find and you can have a walk on the beach after the movie.
this is a very good cinema to go to but its prices are a bit high, thats why i don't go there often anough!
