The Apollo Redditch has always had excellent film presention; I have never been able to fault a single performance. Since they went digital the screen image and sound quality are even better. No other cinema in the region has achieved such a high standard. Their 3D presentations are better than that at the Waterloo IMAX cinema.
The seats are the most comfortable of any cinema I have visited in the Birmingham Worcestershire and Warwickshire area.
The under-cover parking is free in the evenings.
The staff are friendly and attentive. Come along and enjoy the show at the Apollo!
I have only ever visited this cinema once when I was out all day shopping and decided to see a film. Was disappointed as for some reason although it was orange Wednesday they would not let me use the code on a film which was released the previous week (cant remember what it was) and would not explain the reason.
The staff were pretty rude when we walked in with bags, one of which had a multipack of crisps in and they wanted to take them off me - I said no as I would forget that they had taken them and leave without them, the member of staff was quite rude about not allowing food or drink in the cinema, I was ready to leave at that point but just as I turned to walk away the lad told me it was ok as long as they were not eaten!
The screen and seats were ok but I would not return to this cinema again. The price was just under £2 higher than my usual cinema and the staff were the worst I have personally come across when visiting a cinema.
Have to pay for parking, and the cinemas are not the largest, personally I prefer to go elsewhere.
Nice cinema, but it is overpriced for the amenities that it has.
The cinema in the town centre - have to pay for parking- not many places nearby that you can squeeze into for free. Ticket prices are similar to everywhere. But they are very strict on taking in food and drink. If they see it they will take it off you and staffcome into the screen during the film and look at the audience. Far prefer going to rubery for free parking and no hassle.
Visited here once would not return again, the staff were extremely rude. Got there a little early and was not allowed near the screen incase the children made to much noise. Had to beg to let my children go to the toilet and was told only if there quiet.
good value kids club on weekends (11.30 showing) but you need to get there early as you can't prebook specific seats so if visiting with more than one child arrive early to be able to sit together, just £1 per person (adult or child) with coupon from local paper or £1.50 without.
Comfortable, clean seats with adequate leg room and a good view as seating is tiered. Assigned seating at busier showings with option to chose your row/seats. Smaller screens than Rubery/Rednal (largest seats under 200 smallest just under 100) . Premier screen/seating is in the same theatre as regular seating, just charged extra for a leather chair in the back two rows so probably not worth the extra.
Good range of snacks & drinks but pricey, only sweet popcorn available fresh- salted is prepackaged. Bag check on entering the screens and limited waiting area/seating if you arrive early.
