This is my 2nd time using Any Van. They are a courier bidding service predominately for furniture moves, especially Ebay pickups and related courier services.
I would have written a review about the first experience but thought it would not be fair and give a skewed picture. Now I have something to compare the first experience too.
The process is simple for courier collection/deliveries:
-Register your details
-Post your job
-Wait for offers to come in from various couriers (don't rush & take the first offer)
-Communicate with the companies you get quotes/offers from (you can see reviews and ratings)
-Accept an offer
-Add all the relevant details like address, pick up day/time
-Complete the deposit (VERY minimal)
-Wait for your item to arrive
Easy peasy, lemon squeezy...depending on which company you have chosen to go with.
On my first outing with Any Van, the quote and terms were just fine from the company I chose and my item came to me without a scratch. However, they were over an hour late to collect the item from the seller - causing me to be delayed in my plans for that day. Not good.
The second outing was FAR Better! Courier collected the item (at a reduced price because they were going to be in that area anyway) 2hrs ahead of the requested time. The seller was most grateful and so was I when I got my item without a scratch or interrupting plans for the rest of the day.
Overall, I think Any Van is A-Ok.
Very good service effective, efficient and would thoroughly recommend
The sign of a good company is how they respond when things go wrong. Anyvan are one of the worst examples refusing to refund my money when the courier failed to collect. Try elsewhere.
