Fantastic food and fantastic service. It's a bit of a drive for us but we would drive double the distance to go here. We love it and the staff remember you as it's a family run place. We go for birthdays and if what you want for dinner isn't on the menu like the outstanding Cannelloni you simply just ask for it :).
Interesting experience. Their menu was seven pages of entrees, from lobster on down. The minestrone was too tomatoey, but they had Bavarian Beer for Holland and Drambuie. We were constantly watched, and while I know it was in case we needed something, we couldn't help but feel it was because they were afraid we would skip out on the meal or something of that like. Made us rather uncomfy. Our waiter would not smile, period, and you could see his striped boxers through his pants. Potato skins are just that, nothing fancy, but the meatballs are to die for. Their garlic mayo saved the skins and the meal. They were the only white tablecloth place in the area.
I visit about once a month and have for 3 years now,
The food & staff are great like Alexandra has said,
I have had both the full menu and the pre-concert and rate both very highly.
Highly recommended and will visit at every chance i get.
Keep up the great work guy's
Antonio's Italian Restaurant is a traditional family run business which is actually run by real Itailians with the original Mario style accents.
You almost even expect to see a table reserved for the local Mafia.
The owner meets every customer at the entrance, and he and the waiters remember you every time you go back after your first visit.
The restaurant has been recently given a soft refurbishment, in keeping with the Italian feel, and has light live Italian music being played some nights.
The venue is ideal for family birthday bookings.
The food is very good value for money, with two people having a three course meal with drinks being covered by approx. £50 in total. There is even a pre-concert/show menu for early evening sittings. Expect to see all the usual selection of Italian foods available, ranging from pizzas to pastas, meat and fish dishes, with dishes also suitable for vegetarians.
Overall this is a relaxed restaurant thoughtfully run, which will not break the bank if you decide to eat out for a change.
