I believe this location is closed now and has reopened right up the street at 39 Candlemaker Row
As before, though, you can buy there great selection of books, magazines, and prints online.
Stop in an have a chat with Ian, I did, and I came out better educated about artists in Edinburgh!
Analogue is such an excellent shop. It's a fairly niche place as it's aimed towards designers and architects etc. but if you're interested in design, it's really really worth a visit.
It's not a big shop but they have a great selection of design books, some really cool tshirts and really nice prints that you can buy. They also have a selection of electronic music. Run by a really friendly guy, it's a small independant shop but well worth a visit if design is your kind of thing.
I would highly recommend a visit to Analogue if you're either visiting the city or looking for a unique gift for an arty friend. They have t-shirts, books and art prints featuring the works of local and UK wide illustrators. There's also a great selection of art and design magazines to choose from. In the back of the shop they also have a small gallery space which has a rotating series of exhibitions. Analogue is located on Victoria Street, which makes for a convenient distraction while walking around the winding streets of the old town.
