This is one of those lovely little neighbourhood restaurants - admittedly this is an especially nice neighbourhood and the Abingdon is an especially nice restaurant but the principle remains. Getting a table is easy, the staff are friendly and efficient, kids are catered for and everyone else has a really nice time.
The menu is modern European and there are some real classics amongst the mains, crab ravioli, pork belly and rib eye steak. They also have a set menu, with two courses for just over £15 which is a good deal cheaper than the alternative a la carte. Most neighbourhoods would feel lucky to have somewhere like this in walking distance.

Elegant, understated, relaxed place with stylish, uncomplicated modern European food, perhaps a little generic and neutral. Cheeseboard very simple but impeccably judged and presented. Broad wine list with mostly very good wines and a range to suit all pockets. A very satisfying experience.
