I'm quite surprised about some of these comments and the low scores, although to be fair I haven't had any reason to talk to any of the staff for anything (which most of the complaints seem to be about). Judging the place purely as a gym, its excellent, it has a large weights area with a lot of free weights (including properly heavy dumbbells which a lot of gyms don't have), loads of cardio machines (although I've never tried these) and strength equipment. I haven't been in the pool and not sure if there is a cafe but one of my favourite gyms I've been a member of.

The staff at this gym could not care less about their customers. I had a spa day voucher and the woman behind the counter didn't even look at it, she just opened the gate and told me to go through. I asked about lockers and she said they were available. On getting upstairs it was clear you had to have your own padlock so I had to go back to reception to borrow one, again complete disinterest from the receptionist.
The facilities at this health club are good. The pool was quiet, the gym well equipped and I loved the roof terrace. The sauna, steam room and showers are also all good. I just wish someone had given me a quick tour or at least explained where things were. Casual visitors are essentially ignored.
The Treatment rooms staff were much better and very friendly. Shame they are let down by the 37 degrees staff.

After being assured that I would have a free trial of the gym, I got my gym kit together and went to see Graham (from Romford in Essex). He must have spent an hour trying to hard sell me. He was very pushy and if he hadn't told me that his last sales post was in Fitness First in Romford, I would have assumed that he'd come straight from a used car dealership. Anyway, how could I make a decision without trying the product first? He sold it to me as a luxury joint, where I'd never need to wait for any equipment - very dangerous!...................

A New York style health club with reasonable prices and a plethora of services. This is one of the best gyms I have ever been to, you never have to queue for one of their many cardio machines, there is a wide array of classes for all tastes, a deserted swimming pool plus an indoor golf range. Plus staff are friendly and helpful, there is an excellent beauty salon and you can get healthy snacks post workout. The location is brilliant and helps to inspire you as does the fact you have your own TV on your cardio machine so can choose what to watch. Highly recommended.
